If you happen to be a Google Adsense publisher, don't be surprised if when you open your Adsense account in the past few days, you are asked to verify the new Google Adsense Terms and Conditions approval. Yes, on February, Adsense once again updated its Terms and Conditions for publishers. For more details, please read it on Inside Adsense. In short, there are 2 important things covered in the new Terms and Services:
1. Anticipating the development of new products and new mediums that Google Adsense will use in the future, some editorial Terms and Conditions have undergone a number of adjustments.
2. As a consequence of the first point above, Adsense publishers MUST now add a Privacy Policy page to the site or blog that displays Adsense ads. This Privacy Policy must primarily explain the use of cookies and web beacons in the Google Adsense data collection process.
Out of the two points above, the second point is very important and needs to be followed up by every Adsense publisher. If not, don't be surprised if Google Adsense uses the absence of this Privacy Policy page as a reason to ban your Adsense account. Don't want that, right? :) Perhaps the issue for publishers is that Google Adsense itself does not provide a standard example or template of a Privacy Policy that we can copy and paste on our blogs. So how do we make one? We have to use English language again. :)
Don't worry, there is a solution. First, please use the Online Privacy Policy Generator. Second, please "borrow" examples of Privacy Policies from established sites that already have a Privacy Policy page. Here is an example of a Privacy Policy that I created using the Online Privacy Policy Generator. Please copy and paste it.
